UMIS (Universal Monitoring & Evaluation Information System)

UMIS is an advanced Information Management system, for use by all services involved in the field of Prevention.

It records the whole intervention process from observations and concerns, through to referral, assessment, panel, intervention and evaluation, providing an overview of the work undertaken with the child, young person or family so this can be evaluated on an ongoing basis and help point to how better outcomes can be achieved in the future

In addition, Social Software has developed facilities to allow designated Prevention projects to capture personal and confidential data about work with young people. This can then be integrated into a larger UMIS database, covering a whole local authority, region or a specific aspect of prevention work nationally; for example, mentoring services. This means that data can be assessed on a wider scale, with strengths and weaknesses being identified and changes put in place to improve outcomes for all.
